What is hydrolysis of TPU shoe sole?
Hydrolysis is the process by which a compound decomposes when it comes in contact with moisture. This process occurs in the soles of boots made with a compound called TPU. When the TPU in the sole is exposed to moisture or stored for a long time, it begins to decompose. Over time, this will cause the TPU in the sole of the leather boot to decompose and eventually disintegrate.
